HOW THE CEREAL CHAMBERS OF THE YOGHURT CUPS ARE FILLED QUICKLY AND PRECISELY
REQUIREMENTS
Since the start of production, the yoghurt cartons have been filled by a chamber feeder. However, it was not possible to use this system to add the nuts due to their sticky and oily consistency. Systems like these also present the problem of weight inaccuracy. The company was therefore on the lookout for a more precise alternative that was also able to add the nut mixture.
Solutions
In close collaboration, a MP 24-1000/400-H type multihead weigher was installed in Trondheim.
The products are passed to the weigher via a gravity infeed funnel. The system packages six different cereals and one nut mixture. Basically, all MULTIPOND systems can also be operated in the company’s own patented feeding mode. This mode is essential to applications like these, since it is the only way to realize the required number of dumps per minute.
