MULTIPOND´s sweet innovation – highest speed at minimized headroom

By launching its latest innovation, the multihead weigher MP 28-400/400-A, MULTIPOND has reinforced its position as the market leading innovator in the design and manufacture of multihead weighing systems.
After 12 months in development, the weigher was launched at Interpack 2008 in Duesseldorf and is already in operation at various manufacturers. The MP 28-400/400-A will now be shown as a working exhibit at the ProSweets show in February 2009 in Cologne, Germany.
The MP 28-400/400-A, combination weigher is specified to deposit efficient outputs of in excess of 450 weighings per minute whilst maintaining the highest accuracy, making it the fastest combination weigher on the market. The machine is extremely compact which makes it the perfect solution for installations with restricted headroom. The brand new reduced size hoppers (0.4 litres), mean the machine is perfect for the weighing of small target weights (<1g), and ideally suited for the weighing of mini bags in the confectionery industry or components for instant soup mixes.
The 28-head weigher uses the principal of combining partial quantities to achieve the target weight. The machine is controlled and operated by an user-friendly color touch-screen-unit. All product contact parts are available in a number of materials, thus ensuring highest weighing efficiency and the highest repeatable accuracy for all different product types. All hoppers and product contact parts can be removed without tools for adjustments to changing products and cleaning.
A combination of the weigher with the patented oscillating high-speed transfer system “Twin Double Duckmouth” enables up to 40% higher speeds compared to conventional discharge hoppers, thus ensuring maximum output is achieved.
MULTIPOND is the sales and service division of the German based manufacturing company ATOMA which has been established since 1946. The first automatic weighing system for the packaging industry was launched in 1963.
Headquarters and manufacturing facilities are in Waldkraiburg, Germany, about 65km east of Munich. Beside the global network of sales and service representatives, there are four wholly owned sales and service subsidiaries in the UK, the Netherlands, France and the US.
