DICED HAM PRODUCER GOES FOR WEIGHING TECHNOLOGY FROM MULTIPOND

REQUIREMENTS
More than ever before, the top priorities in the meat-processing industry are safety, quality and hygiene. Therefore, the company relies on the multiple-head weighers from MULTIPOND for good reason. An additional weighing system, type MP-30-1000-400-J, for weighing diced ham has recently been acquired for the factory.
The biggest challenge facing this project was the restricted headroom of 4.50 m. Every millimeter counted in the planning stage. The gap between system and ceiling is just a few millimeters.
Solutions
The diced ham is transported onto the platform via an inclined belt conveyor supplied by Gröneweg. Another feed conveyor takes the diced ham to the weigher. This is a multihead weigher of the latest machine generation. The focal point of this new generation is hygienic design – down to the finest detail. The J Generation was developed and realized specifically for use in areas involving extremely high hygiene requirements.
The gimbal-mounted product transfer system with overweight ejection function designed specifically for this application by Gröneweg creates the interface between weigher and packaging machine.
