Requirements
Before the introduction of the MULTIPOND multihead weigher, SONNENTOR‘s herbs and spices were filled by hand – a laborious and time-consuming process that limited the capacity of the production line.
With the installation of the first multihead weigher 17 years ago (2007) and in combination with a tubular bag machine, the efficiency of production was increased considerably. Thanks to the modernization, SONNENTOR is now able to make the filling process faster and more precise.
Solutions
Today, SONNENTOR has three weighing systems and two product feed systems.
One of the technological innovations that SONNENTOR employees particularly appreciate is the ability to control the multihead weigher remotely via a tablet. This function is particularly convenient when working with chili peppers. The multihead weighers are each housed in a shielded room due to dust generation. Close contact would be a challenge for employees, especially when weighing chili peppers. However, remote control using a tablet makes it possible to monitor and control the operation of the scales from a safe distance – further proof of the user-friendly technology provided by MULTIPOND.
A total of 21 different SONNENTOR products are currently weighed using the multihead weighers from MULTIPOND. One of the three existing scales also has a special chute knocker, which improves the conveying behavior of particularly light products. This targeted adaptation shows how MULTIPOND responds to the individual requirements of its customers and offers tailor-made solutions.
