EFFICIENCY AND PRECISON – 30% FASTER AND MORE ACCURATE!

Until just recently, Prymat products were weighed by competitor multihead weighers. Commissioning the MULTIPOND weigher significantly improved accuracy. 100,000 packs of spices per day are weighed and packaged on the line. This means that the line now works 30% faster than before. Use of the MULTIPOND multihead weigher, the core of the line, reduced the giveaway from the previous 6% to less than 1%.

REQUIREMENTS

The Prymat Group’s dynamic development is predominantly down to huge investments in the machinery, new technologies and infrastructure. One of the significant steps towards increasing competiveness in production was the purchase of multihead weighers, which substantially improved the process speed and achieved a higher degree of weighing accuracy. The weighing of spices with low bulk density presents the greatest challenge. The biggest problem is the product’s low weight. The fully automated weighing of marjoram in particular presents a special challenge.

Solutions

Various tests carried out at the company’s headquarters convinced Prymat of the high quality, performance and accuracy of the MULTIPOND systems. A 16-head weigher from MULTIPOND with specially matched product-carrying parts is now used to weigh even the most difficult products, such as marjoram, quickly and accurately. The weigher weighs a total of 200 different products.
